ECHO Summer Grand Finals

WOMEN’S ECHO v ECHO GRAND FINAL

ECHO Hockey Club started in October 2001 in a Summer competition down in Keysborough. Since then we have played 15 Summer seasons and entered over 70 teams, often in unusually graded competitions, and never won a Hockey Victoria Summer Grand Final. On a number of occasions we have gone close, but on Thursday our Women will end the drought

The two ECHO Summer Women’s teams topped the ladder and last week both won through to the Grand Final and an ECHO v ECHO showdown. Will it be Juliet and Nat’s ECHO Gold, with the best goal difference in the competition, or will it be Kim and Anna’s ECHO Red, who narrowly topped the ladder and narrowly won both previous matches during the season.

8:00pm, Thursday 25th Feb, ECHO Red (ECHO colours) v ECHO Gold (White)

MEN’S MASTERS GRAND FINAL

The Masters team, now in their third season, has also won through to its first Grand Final as part of the Kew Intra-Club 35+ competition. The Masters made it following a tight draw against Kew (Black).

7:30pm, Wednesday 24th Feb, ECHO v Kew (white)

This season has set our Masters team up perfectly, as we plan to enter a Men’s 35+ Masters team into the HV Winter competition. An exciting new chapter in the Club.

The Masters Grand Final will be played directly before the Men’s Super-7s season launch – so come down and watch the Masters, then stick around for some fast paced, half field hockey.
